CO₂ resurfacing may not be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection, open wounds or significant irritation, following recent tanning or sun exposure, or for certain pigment profiles and medical histories.
Tell your provider about medications, previous pigmentation changes and any history of cold sores. If another treatment offers a safer path to your goals, we will recommend it.
